I believe in the power of small things done everyday. This is the story of my Have a nice day project in three tweet-sized chunks.

There’s a feared person: never smiles or says hi, looks angry.
I tell them everyday ‘hello, Have a nice day!’
Now they smile & say hi to me.

Cleaning employees were sad & silent.
White collar people never said hi.
I tell them everyday ‘hello, Have a nice day!’
Now they say hi to us

In 2003 nobody said hi in my student’s residence.
I told everyone I met ‘hi, Have a nice day!’
Months later most people spontaneously said hi
